Pose Aesthetics and Functional Wellness

Dr. Cory Wilbanks brings med-spa care and functional medicine together under one roof in High Point Terrace.

There’s a particular kind of exhale that happens when you walk into a healthcare setting and don’t have to brace for anything. No explaining. No correcting the chart. No wondering how a question will land.

That exhale is worth a lot — and it’s part of why we’re glad to welcome Pose Aesthetics and Functional Wellness to the MidSouth LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

Meet Dr. Cory Wilbanks

Pose is owned and operated by Dr. Cory Wilbanks, DNP, APRN, who serves as both owner and provider. A Doctor of Nursing Practice credential means advanced clinical training at the highest practice level in nursing — and in a field where “med-spa” can mean almost anything, that clinical grounding matters.

The practice sits in High Point Terrace, one of Memphis’s most walkable, neighborhood-feeling corners of the city. It’s a fitting home for a business built around the idea that taking care of yourself shouldn’t feel transactional.

Aesthetics and wellness, not one or the other

Most people encounter these two worlds separately. You go one place for a facial or injectables, and somewhere else entirely for lab work and primary care — if you get around to the second thing at all.

Pose collapses that distance. The practice offers:

  • Injectables — neuromodulators and dermal fillers
  • Facials and aesthetic skin treatments
  • IV therapy for hydration and nutrient support
  • Hormone therapy
  • Lab work and diagnostic testing
  • Primary-care access

The through-line is functional medicine’s core question: not just what’s the symptom, but what’s driving it. Fatigue, skin changes, sleep trouble, and low energy don’t exist in separate boxes, and a practice that can order the labs and also do the aesthetic work is positioned to actually connect those dots.

Their tagline puts it more simply than we can: Look refined. Feel restored.

Why this matters for our community

Access to healthcare that feels safe is not a small thing in the Mid-South. For a lot of people in our network, finding a provider is less about proximity and more about trust — whether the intake form has the right options on it, whether your partner is treated like your partner, whether you’ll have to educate your own clinician.

When a healthcare provider joins this Chamber, they’re making a statement about who they intend to serve well. We take that seriously, and we’re glad to have Pose making it.

We’re also glad, frankly, to add another independent, owner-operated business to a membership base that spans more than 20 counties across Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Small practices like this one are the backbone of what we do.
